What is “Christ Renews His Parish”?
"CRHP" is an inspiring renewal retreat for parishioners. CRHP traces its roots back to 1969 and has spread to more than 1000 parishes around the country, including 26 in the Atanta area.
What happens on the weekend?
CRHP is a bonding experience between you and Christ. During the weekend, you will experience the presence of Christ through the lives and stories of other parishioners, through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, through the celebration of Mass, through personal prayer and reflection, and through the actual presence of the Blessed Sacrament. CRHP takes you on a journey through the lives of others in order to better reflect on your own life journey.
How does the process work?
CRHP is scripture, song, spiritual fellowship. The renewal weekend is given for parishioners by parishioners, along with a parish priest. The weekend can be made as a renewal experience with no further commitments. However, many participants afterwards choose to form a new team in order to present the next renewal weekend.
When and where are the weekends held?
The weekends will be held at our parish from 8:00a.m. Saturday morning until 3:00p.m. Sunday in the Ministry Building. A separate Men's and Women's retreat are held each spring and fall. Participants will stay overnight at the parish, and all meals are included. The entire weekend is informal. Comfortable, casual attire is preferred. Every effort will be made to accommodate special needs.
CRHP is for parishioners, 21 and older, who are seeking spiritual renewal, desiring to grow closer to God, or searching for a deeper sense of purpose within the parish community. Praying for guidance is important. If you feel that Christ, through the Holy Spirit, may be calling you - come!
What is the cost?
A $50 registration fee is requested, but not required. The spirit of CRHP is to make the experience available for everyone.
